Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed his nation, announcing a “special military campaign” against Ukraine.

    AliBy Ali
    • I see the need to return to the “bad” events in Donbas and the important issue of Russia’s security
    • The basic one adopted after World War II and in particular incorporating its effect – began to penetrate
    • In this case, there have been promises that our country will not expand NATO even one inch east
    • In spite of all this, in December 2021 we again made an effort to agree with the United States
    • Further expansion of NATO infrastructure and the beginning of military development in Ukraine are not welcome

The speech came on the heels of his decision to recognize the People’s Republic of Donetsk and the People’s Republic of Luhansk on February 21 and the signing of cooperation agreements between today, and I see the need to return to the “bad” events in Donbas and the important issue of Russia’s security. Let me start with what I said in my February 21 speech. I refer to what causes us some anxiety and anxiety – those basic threats to our country year after year, step by step, are created in an annoying and non-discriminatory manner by indifferent politicians. in the West.

“After the collapse of the USSR, a reorganization of the country began, and developed international law systems – the key, the basic one adopted after World War II and in particular incorporating its effect – began to penetrate.

“Yes, in practical life, in international relations, and in the laws governing them, it was necessary to consider changes in the state of affairs in the world and the balance of power. First, without the approval of the UN Security Council, these facts, as some Western counterparts do not like to remember those events, and when we talk about them, they prefer to point out the procedures of international law, but the circumstances they interpret in their own discretion.

“Then came the turn of Iraq, Libya, Syria. The illegal use of military force against Libya, the distortion of all decisions taken by the UN Security Council on the Libyan issue led to the total collapse of the state, the emergence of a major international terrorist base, humanitarian crisis, and social catastrophe. an ongoing civil war to this day. The military activities of the Western Union in the region of this country without the permission of the Syrian government or the approval of the UN Security Council are nothing but violence, intervention. As an excuse, they put forward the so-called credible information from the United States about the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. As evidence of this, in public, before the eyes of the world, the Secretary of State of the United States shook a certain type of test tube with white powder, assuring everyone that this was a chemical weapon developed in Iraq. And then it turned out that all of this was a trick, a bluff: there were no chemical weapons in Iraq. “

“In this case, there have been promises that our country will not expand NATO even one inch east. After all, such deceptive behavior is not only in conflict with international standards of conduct but also in most cases the standard of conduct.

“By the way, American politicians, political scientists and journalists themselves wrote and said that in recent years, a real” false empire “has been built within the United States. But let’s not underestimate it: positive, we can say with certainty that the whole Western organization, formed by the United States in its own image and likeness, is all a ‘false empire.’ ”

“In spite of all this, in December 2021 we again made an effort to agree with the United States and its allies on the principles of ensuring security in Europe and NATO’s non-proliferation. They did not see the need to negotiate with Russia on this important issue for us, and they continued to pursue their own interests and ignored our own interests. ”

“As far as the military sector is concerned, today, Russia today, even after the collapse of the USSR and the loss of a significant portion of its power, is one of the world’s most powerful nuclear powers and has some advantages over new ones. it will lead directly to defeat and horrific consequences for any potential abuser. ”

“As NATO grows eastward, every year, our country’s situation is getting worse and worse. Moreover, in recent days the NATO leadership has been openly talking about the need for acceleration, forcing the development of allied infrastructure on Russia’s borders. In other words, they doubled in their place.

“Further expansion of NATO infrastructure and the beginning of military development in Ukraine are not welcome. The problem, of course, is not NATO itself – it is the only US foreign policy tool.
